"It's a terrible thing to see and have no vision."
Our eyes are one of the precious gifts we receive, and they’ve been created although sensitive as they are so that we may realize the need to greatly take care of them. Let’s take a moment to think about certain moments that we forget to protect our eyes from the sun or from any glaring light. Take for example the many days of hurrying outside our homes to experience the fun and thrill in doing sunny day trips or always convincing ourselves about the comfort of squinting and allowing anything we can grab for cover. Isn’t it more practical, even stylish, and above all healthy if we see to it that we always take a pair of sunglasses with us whenever we go out on a sunny day?

Of course we wear sunglasses for prepping purposes but it’s also nice to know the reason why we ‘should’ wear sunglasses. Just think about vision loss, glaucoma, cataracts, photokeratitis and other German-sounding medical terminologies pertaining to eye diseases that are caused by the sun, well not actually the sun, but by our negligence and ignorance (no pun intended).

So, for the next time we go out and see the brighter day, think of the privilege we have on that very moment. We see because we still have our sight. Let’s not waste our time ignoring the fact that we have to take care of ourselves, even are eyes – small they may be, but there’s greatness in their purpose. It’s a terrible thing without seeing the beauty of scenery, watching our children grow, or witnessing the joys and miracles of life. On perspective, me might ask the blind and discover for ourselves that they could have seen it more.
