Choosing The Sunglasses To Fit Your Style Jun 28

In the earlier years sunglasses were mainly used to hide the eyes and hide one’s thoughts. In the mid 1700s they became something to protect the eyes from the sun together with hats and umbrellas. In the 20th century onwards it became a thing to wear for beach goers and sun lovers as well. And one might come to realize that these days sunglasses are both protective in nature and something to make a fashion statement as well and for many both issues are quite important.
When used only for protection, you can say that sunglasses should be one that prevents UV rays from penetrating the eyes, so you should wear sunglasses that do this one function. But of course, most individuals wear sunglasses not only as protection but also to create a fashion statement or as part of a fashion ensemble. When used for this purpose, you should ensure that the sunglasses you are wearing fits not only your style but your face as well, taking into consideration its shape and form.

Square face/ Strong Jaw

For women, perhaps that epitome of style will be Jackie Kennedy. You should wear curvier, round or cat’s eye glasses to compliment your angular jaw for the women. For the men, to make them look more edgier and stronger, they should get sunglasses with clear sharp angles.

Heart faced Woman / Triangular Faced Man

In order to balance a wider forehead to a smaller chin, sunglasses should have well rounded edges and catty look. Sunglasses should also have an enhanced lower frame and curved on the top.

Oblong face

For those with a long or oblong face, round and rectangular lenses encased in oversized frames are highly recommended. Thick framed sunglasses build diameter. Deep lenses and hatch sunglasses along with decorative or vintage frames also seem to work with these shapes.

Although in the end, personal preference is still the best choice to make. No matter how you manage to choose your shades just ensure that your sunglasses will protect your eyes from the harmful UV rays of the sun and be your fashion accessory as well. Whether you choose the latest designs or the more classic look it’s best to take a good peek in the mirror and see for yourself how the sunglasses will look on your pretty face.
