When I saw Wayfarers in the movie The Blues Brothers, I honestly thought these sunglasses came from this movie. Elwood and Jake looked very cool on those Ray-Ban sunglasses, so naturally people followed their lead. But it was surprising to know that it actually started in the 50’s but because such a big hit in the 60’s fashion epoch. This actually makes a lot of sense because the original design of Wayfarers was so similar to the cat eyes shaped sunglasses that were so huge in the 60’s. There were known celebrities who continued its support to Wayfarers in the 90s like Michael Jackson and round about that time these Ray-Ban sunglasses revolutionized its design and were also being manufactured by different brands. It never looses its groove because it serves its full function of filtering most of the unwanted glare from the sun; its durable material has been proven to lasts longer than any other designs. It fits both men and women and even for kids. A lot of designs may come out changing or tweaking its look once in a while but the fact remains that it will never loose its groove.
